Pickle-Ball

Pickle-Ball is a combination of tennis, badminton and ping-pong and is played in the YMCA gymnasium from August to May. It is played on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 a.m. until noon and Friday afternoons from 3-5:30 p.m. in the YMCA aerobics room and also in the gym if needed. Summer hours will be from 10:45 a.m. until finish on Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 3-5:30 p.m. on Fridays in the YMCA aerobics room. Pickleball will be open to YMCA members at no cost and non-members for $3. Non-members also can purchase a punch card good for 10 pickleball visits for $30. You don't need a paddle, we will provide one for you to use. Come join us for some fun and fellowship with the fastest growing sport in the country. For more information about Pickle-Ball, call Sports Director Joe Wilson at 270-887-5382 or come by and learn to play.

Gym Rules
During the summer, the Hopkinsville YMCA gym Court "B" will be designated for basketball play for all ages. Court A is reserved for summer camp activities and will not be able to be used for full-court basketball during the summer months. A winning team has a 2-game limit on the court before it must sit down. Losing teams leave the court after their game and players waiting have the first right as the next team "up." There are no guests for basketball during the weekends because of gym congestion. Players must abide by gym rules. Any violators will be asked to leave the gym and their memberships could be revoked by the YMCA Executive Director.
